Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How long and how frequent are therapy visits?
Therapy is tailored to the needs of the individual. We have 30-minute and 45-minute sessions. Most often therapy is recommended at 1x or 2x / week. There are also instances when more intensive therapy may be beneficial, or when the patient may only need a few sessions over a longer period of time. The scope and duration of therapy will be discussed in consultation with your therapist during the initial visit.
Do you offer teletherapy?
Yes! Most insurances are currently covering and this has been a wonderful and convenient option for many of our families. All you need is an internet connection and laptop with webcam, tablet, or phone. Call our office for more information.
What should I expect for my first visit?
At your first visit, we will conduct a 60 or 90-minute evaluation. This diagnostic session consists of collecting background information, discussing any concerns, conducting an assessment with both standardized and informal measures, and creating appropriate treatment goals. An evaluation report is provided within 1-2 weeks which will include key findings in the areas of speech, language, voice, resonance, fine or gross motor, sensory, and others as appropriate. We look forward to partnering with you through this process!
